6 ستمبر 1965 کو پاکستان نے بھارتی افواج کے حملے کے خلاف کامیابی سے اپنا دفاع کیا۔ یہ تنازعہ 17 دن تک جاری رہا اور 10 جنوری 1966 کو تاشقند معاہدے پر دستخط کے ساتھ ختم ہوا۔ یوم دفاع پاکستان اس جنگ کے دوران ملک کا دفاع کرنے والے پاکستانی فوجی اہلکاروں کی بہادری اور لگن کو خراج تحسین پیش کرنے کے لیے منایا جاتا ہے۔

Pakistan Defense Day, also known as “Youm-e-Difa,” is celebrated on September 6th every year in Pakistan. This day commemorates the sacrifices and valor of the Pakistani armed forces during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965.
On September 6, 1965, Pakistan successfully defended itself against an invasion by Indian forces. The conflict lasted for 17 days and ended with the signing of the Tashkent Agreement on January 10, 1966. Pakistan Defense Day is observed to honor the bravery and dedication of the Pakistani military personnel who defended the country during this war.
